Neurotrophic factor effects
Research has documented Semax’s influence on BDNF, NGF, and GDNF expression in neuronal cultures. The interesting part is what it does not do: unlike the full ACTH molecule, the 4-10 fragment does not drive adrenal steroid production. The neurotrophic activity and steroidogenic activity occupy different regions of the parent peptide, and Semax retains only the former.
